“My name is Cameron Wulfert and I am a junior Theatre Management major from Dardenne Prairie, Missouri. I knew that I wanted to attend UE as soon as I stepped on campus. Everything about it just felt like home to me. The beautiful campus and the kind people made this a community that I wanted to be a part of. My second visit happened to fall during the annual Christmas on Campus event and meeting Purple Santa really sealed the deal for me. Something I love about UE is the small class sizes. One of my classes has eight students in it, and it’s led to some of the most engaging discussions I’ve ever had.

In the Theatre department, we function essentially like our own professional theatre. Because of this, I’ve been able to get hands-on experience doing what I love since the start of my freshman year. I’ve been able to learn about marketing, event planning, networking, front of house, and the box office. These opportunities have opened the door to several exciting internships, at The St. Louis Symphony Orchestra, Opera Theatre of Saint Louis, and even in the UE marketing office! When I see an audience of UE students experiencing the art that we work so hard to create, I know that I’m on the right path.

I am also the president of The Minor Setbacks, a UE acapella group. Part of the beauty of the small liberal arts environment is that the group is full of all different majors, all coming together to have fun and make music. It’s things like this that make UE special. There’s community everywhere you turn. I can’t walk to class without running into someone I know, and it makes it so much easier to feel at home so far from my hometown. UE is such a special place, and I couldn't imagine spending my college years anywhere else.”
